"Good morning all you early risers," greeted the alarm clock radio. "time to get up and smell the coffee." Alexandra groaned and rolled over to turn off the alarm, she sat up rubbed her eyes, and stretched. "Another day, another boring shift at Wal-Mart the greatest place on earth." she sighed sarcastically. Alexandra got up and trailed over to the window to inhale the clean refreshing scent of winter. Winter was her favorite season of the year, one reason why was because of course Christmas.

It was December 18th Alexandra was out of school for winter break. Unfortunately she had to work so she could get money for Christmas gifts. She closed the window and walked over to her closet. "No point in trying to look good today. Jason's not coming to work ." Jason was Alexandra's crush. She felt as if Jason never looked her way, and if he did he would be look at Lexi who would be beside Alexandra and her locker, humming and putting on lip gloss while looking at Jason, as usual. Lexi was Alexandra's ex best friend. They were the best of friends in the 8th grade but popularity overcame Lexi, and now she's considered to be a goddess to all the guys at Ferguson High. Lexi was also crushing on Jason and she made him notice her anyway she could. All she had to do was wear a halter top and daisy duke shorts to work and you'd have Mr. Jason there drooling like a pit bull.

Lexi was prettier than Alexandra. She had long black hair down to her butt. Eyes the color of the Fiji waters. Her every feature on her face was perfect and her chest made Alexandra's look like card board. On the other hand Alexandra had curly brown hair, regular brown eyes, her nose was too small, and her breast and butt look like card board. Sometimes Alexandra was so envious of Lexi. If only she could look more like Lexi so she could attract Jason's attention.

Alexandra put on a pair of sweat pants, a black happy bunny t-shirt that said "Aren't you happy that you suck and I don't?" , some black converses, two black rubber bracelets and put her hair in a pony tail. After she brushed her teeth she went down stairs. Her little brother and her mother were already sitting at the table eating breakfast. "Good morning my unidentified family." she said sarcastically as she smacked her brothers head as she walked over to the fridge.

"Owwwww!" he growled clenching his teeth together.

"Awwww did I hurt you little bro?"

"Shut up u stupid freak!"

"Alex and Brandon both of you cut it out." said Alexandra's mom, Mrs. Jennings. Everyone gave Alexandra different nicknames like Alex, Ale, and Lexa. She hated the nickname Lexa the most. It was only one letter off from Lexi's name. Alex opened the fridge poured a glass of orange juice and gulped it down fast. " Well I gotta go, I don't wanna be late for work. Later mom, later UFO she cracked. Brandon glared at her and stuck out his tongue.

I walked down the driveway and pulled out my ipod. As i continued to walk while listening to "jingle bells" i accidently stepped on a piece of gum.

I groaned and walked over to the edge of the sidewalk and scraped m shoe against. But it wouldn't come off. I closed my eyes and sighed....todays gonna be a long day.
